Legia`s basketball team applied for a wildcard

Legia's basketball team moved for a wildcard of the Polish Basketball Association (PZKosz). Such document would allow the team playing matches in the Second Division. After the season 2008/2009 Warsaw club was penultimate in the league and was relegated to the lower division. "We'll try to fulfil all needed requirements. As I know the association’s board wants strong brands such as Legia to play in higher divisions" – said Waldemar Kijanowski in an interview for TVP Warszawa. The deadline for submitting an application is on 31st May.
The PZKosz should take its decision until 15th June.
